What is Internet, History Of Internet, How does it work?

Introduction                             Humanity has really come a long way in terms of living standards and we’ve seen a big improvement in just a few centuries. For instance, people used to light fires and now we’re using the internet! The human race is evolving quickly. The world is changing around the “INTERNET” as usage has increased. The “INTERNET” has brought people an opportunity to enter another world, so if you’re sitting at your desk it feels like someone just created a portal into the game of Life. Developments in the area of the internet have made it possible to connect with others and get better knowledge about new technologies.

There is a general curiosity about the internet and people want to know “what is it?” The history, how it works – we’re going to dive into that.

1. WHAT IS INTERNET?

In the past, the internet was just a tool for communication. Today, it has transformed into an all-encompassing tool for everyday life. The internet is a vital part of our society today. It’s a system of interconnected computers which send and receive information in order to connect and share data. That data is saved in servers all over the world and can be accessed at any time. People are able to communicate with each other on a global scale. With the internet, they are able to learn about cultures, customs, and traditions which are not in their communities.

The internet has changed practically everything about the world. In a way, it’s been an amazing tool to do business and stay connected with others. It also offers plenty of ways for you to have fun during your free time or even if you’re just looking for information or entertainment.

The internet allows us to access so much information at our fingertips, which is why many of us turn to the web before we ask our families or friends for advice. So the usage of the internet is extremely high by people, but we should remember one thing: The internet has plenty of benefits and drawbacks, too. The point is to keep your eyes out for the good stuff. It’s not possible to know how dangerous the internet is, but we know it would be different if it had never been created. Nowadays, life without the internet feels like a real challenge and we’re not even sure what to do without it.

2. WHAT IS THE HISTORY OF THE INTERNET?

The internet is a network of computers that uses special software to connect computers worldwide. It began in the late 1960s and has grown to include millions of networks.    The internet relies on many underlying technologies, including Wi-Fi, routers, and SIM cards. It also depends on services like the World Wide Web (WWW), email, and instant messaging (IM). Before the 1960s, there was no internet, but how were people communicating with each other?

A lot has changed in the world of communication since the introduction of electric telegraphs. These days, people send emails and use emailing services like G-mail to communicate with each other while watching the news on TV or listening to radio stations via electric radio devices.

Tim Berners-Lee envisioned information being shared easily, which is why he invented HTML (a programming language), HTTP (which operates on the WWW). Google is a pretty famous company with a history of operating for 18 years. Facebook came after Google, and then other popular social media sites like Whatsapp, Instagram, Twitter etc.

3. WHAT IS NETWORKING AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

Networks have been gradually growing for a long time now and cover a diverse variety of tasks. Networks involve many different types of hardware & software, often running on complex infrastructures so as to meet the needs of the business. Networking is a really important aspect of today’s workforce. It allows the exchange of information between various computers, which contributes to their ability to share things more easily.

Terminology:

– IP address: IP means “INTERNET PROTOCOL” and is a unique address allotted to every device that is connected to the internet.

– Nodes: devices connected to a network – Router: sends data from one network to another network

– Hubs: Broadcasts data from one node to all other nodes on the same network.

– Communication protocol: a set of rules that is used to send out data packets between two computers. They include the number of the data packets as well as how they should be addressed.

Computer networks are necessary for our on-demand culture. They’ll let you do your work without any delays or slowdowns, which is something that has never been available before. Networks are of various kinds, but it doesn’t mean they’re all the same thing! Some of them are PANs (Personal area networks). They communicate with nearby devices like wireless mice and keyboards. The jargon of different types of networks is not always easy to grasp. What is LAN, then MAN? Well, a LAN belongs in the office space and only facilitates the connection between multiple systems. The MAN also connects all devices in a city, but mostly businesses and institutions rather than individual users. WAN is the largest network of the entire internet. It connects to other LAN networks across the world.

The Internet is made up of networks, but did you know that there are many hidden processes behind them? I’m talking about the way we send and receive requests between servers. The main role in networking is actually played by ‘protocols’.

There are different types of protocols, some of which are TCP, UDP, HTTP, HTTPS, and FTP. The protocol’s main function is communication with one another and exchanging data from one to another; this includes social media, data communication, and more. HTTP and HTTPS are commonly used by all users. This is one of the processes in networking many activities are involved, but if we discuss the whole process of networking, we can publish a book on this topic so if you want to know more information.

CONCLUSION

People are resting their heads on the internet every day. It has become an inseparable part of their lives, bringing with it many changes to society.

The internet has become an inseparable part of society, and with it brings many changes. With the advent of the internet, people are able to use it on a more frequent basis. This is because of its convenience and ease of access. People are now able to work from home and do many things they would have never imagined possible before the age of modern technology.
